ABC has canceled a popular spin-off show after seven seasons.
Fans were left disappointed in the decision, especially after the show received high ratings.
The drama series Station 19 is getting one more season before it says goodbye for good.
The decision to end the show after Season 7 allows "producers to craft a proper ending for the first responder drama," according to Deadline.
Season 7 is still early in the production phase.
Station 19 is the second spin-off of the highly-popular Grey's Anatomy, after Private Practice.

The spin-off series will reach its 100th episode during Season 7.
This last season will air 10 episodes, with 105 in total.
The series is based on the lives of those at Seattle Fire Station 19.
The series has a large cast including Jason George, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Barrett Doss, Grey Damon, and more.

SEASON 7 CHANGES
Instead of airing at 8pm, Station 19 will now premiere after Grey's Anatomy at 10pm on Thursdays.
ABC has a new first responder drama, 9-1-1, originally aired on Fox, to take over the 8pm time slot.
Station 19 also has new showrunners for its last season- Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige, who succeeded Krista Vernoff.
Stacy McKee, Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, and Paris Barclay are also staying on as executive producers.

Fans flocked to the comments section to express their disappointment on the cancelation.
"I’m sorry to see this complex but loving show come to an end. So many scenarios to follow," one said.
"So disappointing to end the series this way," wrote another.
