Adrian Stoica and Hurricane return to the AGT stage for a Fantasy League audition on the January 7 episode. The popular dog act is welcomed with open arms by many. However, some say they “didn’t deserve to win” and that their 2023 crown is “too recent” for them to have come back so soon.
Hurricane is a female border collie aged nine and one of 11 pets belonging to Adrian. The trainer and dog duo auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2023, going on to win the entire season! Now, they’re back…

Adrian Stoica and Hurricane return to AGT
Adrian Stoica has nine dogs and two cats. He has Hurricane, nine, Rory, Jack Russell Tinkerbell, Iris Blu, Flora, deaf dog Amanda, Icaro – who loves frisbees – Inu, Peppy Miller, and cats Polly and Anna.
They hail from Turin, Italy, and both walked away from America’s Got Talent’s 2023 season with enough money to buy a Ferrari and a house. Now, they’re back for the AGT: Fantasy League to win $1 million.
The dog act won in September 2023 and took to Instagram to say the news was “so incredible.” Now, the pair return for a hilarious audition, as Hurricane tries to stop Adrian Stoica putting on weight.
From first audition to AGT Fantasy League
Dog trainer Adrian Stoica has taught Hurricane to do exceptional tricks! The performer is a six-times Disc Dog world champion. Adrian helps owners teach their dogs new tricks in Holland, California, and Texas.
From Italy, the 45-year-old taught Hurricane to high five him, complete an obstacle course for dogs, stand on his hind legs, sit on top of Adrian’s feet, pull a clothing rack, and jump on and off his owner.
During their recent audition, Adrian tells Simon Cowell a huge secret. Simon then tells his fellow judges: “I had a huge crush on Mel B.” He also asked for a picture with the Spice Girls singer on the judging panel.
The dog act’s win was controversial
AGT viewers are seriously divided over Adrian and Hurricane’s win. While many are in favour of their return, some feel they won too recently to be allowed to return, and “didn’t deserve to win” in 2023.
One fan penned: “The best dog act to ever be on AGT, and one of my favorite winners!” Another wrote: “I love Adrian and Hurricane. They’re the best dog act hands down and one of my favorites.”
“They are fun to watch, at first I thought they didn’t deserve to win last season but I’m gonna eat my words because I like watching them on this show and I want them to do really well in life!” a viewer said.
An agreeing AGT follower said: “I know I’m not the only person with this thought… they are adorable and do do a lot of awesome storytelling, but they didn’t deserve to win last year.”
To everyone who is throwing a hissy fit over Adrian and Hurricane winning #AGT, HAHA. They just pulled off the biggest upset in AGT history and I am absolutely thrilled! They had no gimmicks or Golden Buzzer and went about their business with talent and won the show.
