SPOTTING A RARE CARD
A series of rare cards were verified as valuable on The Gamer website which provides a range of 30 cards and helps players differentiate those rare and average.
And, much of it is based upon codes on the cards.
Take a rare card such as the Gold Sarcophagus.
Collectors can tell that it’s one of the reward cards from the championships by the code, which notes its exclusivity.

Its code can be found at the bottom of the card art.
If a card was created in celebration of a well-known character, it's also likely to be valuable, according to the site.
Another example is the Shrink card worth $2,000.
Its code (SJC-EN003) on the card means it is part of the Shonen Jump Championship set. With only 26 made with this specific set, the card is worth a lot.
Rarity is another factor. An example of this is the Skuna, The Leonine Rakan card which is worth $6,000.
Only six of its kind have ever been made and the price continues to grow as time passes.
Finally, the Tournament Black Luster Soldier card worth $10 million can only be identified by one rare characteristic.
It’s the only Yu-Gi-Oh! card to be printed on stainless steel instead of regular paper.
Collectors looking to cash in on one of these valuable cards will find it helpful to look at examples provided by The Gamer.
Other valuable cards include Tyler The Great Warrior, worth $75,000, or otherwise, priceless, the Armored Blue Eyes White Dragon worth $500,000 and the Armament Of The Lethal Lords worth $8,000.
ABOUT THE GAME
Yu-Gi-Oh! is a trading card game based on strategy, luck, and skill.
It translates from Japanese into English as "Game King."
It's based on the fictional game of Duel Monsters (also known as Magic & Wizards in the manga) created by manga artist Kazuki Takahashi.
According to its website, two players duel each other using a variety of Monster, Spell, and Trap Cards to defeat their opponent's monsters.
The objective is to be the first player to drop the other's Life Points to 0.
